| Description |
1996 Kohler 1600kW generator system, model 1600ROZD71 powered by a 16 cylinder turbo charged Detroit 16V149TA engine rated at approximately 2200HP. Included in this system is a ventilated full sound enclosure, OEM mufflers, “below unit” fuel storage system, battery charging system, block heater, alarm indicators, dual starters with 24 VDC battery system. The is generator has 335+/- hours of operational time, there are no known mechanical issues. This unit, in its current configuration, does not meet NMED/RICE NESHAP emission standards. LANL is selling in place with the successful bidder paying a pre-selected subcontractor to disassemble the generator and load it on the successful bidder’s transport. The reason for using the this vendor is that they already have the safety and security requirements needed to work on LANL property, whereas it could take months to get an independent company approved to work onsite.
